Please note all Hand pumps are not designed to load hold or hold pressure for extended period of time unless supplied with PO check valves, See technical PDF.
All hand pumps with PO checks built in must have a minimum of 50 bar load pressure to enable them to seat correctly. Any applications where load or pressure holding is required please contact our Technical sales team for more information/advice.
It is advisable when choosing a pump that it requires no more effort than 25 daN, you will of course need to know the max working pressure for your application. The graph showing the effort required using a 600mm lever, you could decrease the effort involved by using a longer lever to help with this, should you require a higher displacement working at higher pressures. Our Hand pumps can produce the stated pressure, it is just that the effort required increases, the line across the effort graph is just the optimum advised load on the lever.
GL Handpumps have been developed and manufactured for high performance and reliability. They are used in many different sectors such as transport, industry and agriculture. GL Hand Pumps can be installed in both horizontal and vertical position.
Use only ISO 6743/4 (DIN 51524) hydraulic mineral oil.
Viscosity must be according to ISO 3448 (DIN 51519) standards.
Minimum viscosity: ISO VG 15
Maximum viscosity: ISO VG 100
Advised viscosity: ISO VG 46
The main cause for failure in most hydraulic installations is due to excessive fluid contamination.
Advised filtration: 50-80 microns
Contamination class 18/14 ISO 4406 (9 NAS 1638)
Working temperature: from -20°c to +80°c
• All handpumps are fully interchangeable with other leading Italian manufacturers.
• Supplied with rubber protection for the piston, pressure relief valve, check valve to lock A single acing cylinder, release knob and mounting kit to bolt handpump to a tank.
All standard Hand pumps are suitable for general outdoor usage, for some applications where the environment exceed the standard performance characteristics laid down, other precautions should be taken to protect the product during storage and or operation i.e. special painting can be applied where necessary. And general maintenance may need to be carried out at shorter intervals to ensure the longevity of the Product.
