Hand Pump Effort vs Pressure (600mm Lever)
The chart compares the manual force required on a 600mm operating lever as hydraulic pressure increases, across different pump displacements (6cc, 12cc, 25cc and 45cc). As pressure rises, the lever effort rises too — and higher displacement pumps require more effort at the same pressure. Lower displacement pumps are easier to operate at higher pressures, but deliver less oil per stroke (more strokes required).
Which cc is best?

- 12cc – A strong all-round choice for higher pressure applications with moderate speed.
- 25cc – Better for faster cylinder movement at lower to mid pressures, with higher effort as pressure climbs.

Collection: Customers are welcome to arrange collection using a courier of their choosing, or collect in person from our depot in Ludlow, Shropshire. Please advise us in advance so we can ensure your order is complete before collection.
