Electromagnetic clutches are essential in a wide range of systems. Typically, these designs of clutches and gearboxes are operated remotely, since no linkages are required to control and monitor its engagement. Our Flowfit electromagnet clutches boast fast and smooth operation.
How Do Flowfit Electromagnetic Clutches Work?
When the clutch itself is engaged, an electric current flows through the magnet component and produces a magnetic field. The rotor portion of the clutch becomes magnetised, and sets up a loop which attract the armature. The movement of the armature against the rotor creates a frictional force. Within a very short period of time, this load is accelerated to match the speed of the rotor, which increases the output of the clutch.
Flowfit electromagnet clutches and gearboxes are used in a wide range of systems, including automobiles, locomotives and a wide range of machines, such as lawnmowers and factory machinery.
